标准简介：Clause 1 defines the essential features of a codec for the digital transmission, at 2048 kbit/s, of signals for videoconference or visual telephone service in accordance with Recommendation H. 100. The video input to the coder and output from the decoder in a 625-line, 50 fields/s signal, according to the “Class a” standard of Recommendation H.100, or alternatively, the 3 13-line, 50 fieldds signal of the “Class b” standard. Provision is also made for a sound channel and optional data channels. A brief description of the operation of the codec is given in Appendix I.
